More on The Sopranos
No matter what, I’m convinced that the makers of The Sopranos truly are brilliant. Before this last episode, the big question was: will Tony get popped?
And now, ALL over the blogosphere (the internet, the office, the parking lot, the bus, the country) the question is (and will always be): did Tony get popped?
People are still obsessed, and the debate could go on forever. I’d say that’s pretty smart on the writers part….wouldn’t you?
That said, the debate must go on! And I’m right, of course! Here are two very interesting details I did not notice before. One from the comments on this blog: “The episode where Christopher gets killed is named for the girls who almost hit him, Heidi and Kennedy. The episode where Bobby gets killed is named for the train set he’s looking at, the Blue Comet. The episode where Tony gets killed ‘The American Dream,’ is named for the guy in the USA trucker hat.”
Okay, the name of the episode isn’t “The American Dream,” it’s “Made in America,” but they might be on to something.
and a comment, from Tom’s blog: “the credits listed the guy sitting at the counter in the final scene as ‘Nicky Leotardo.’”
aha! After some research I’ll come back to that one. Untrue! I also went back and looked at the credits. The man in the “members only” jacket, is credited as (drumroll please…) “Man in members only jacket.”
